Easy Beef Recipes
This page has easy to use beef recipes that anyone can prepare.  The recipes have very few ingredients and requires little skill to make.  I am a single guy that had no idea how to prepare anything.  The recipes on this page are ones that I have prepared and find tasty even though I have little or no skills in the area of cooking.

Tasty Beef Roast

1 beef roast
Salt and pepper to taste
Garlic salt, optional
4 or 5 strips bacon

Season roast with salt, pepper and garlic salt. Wrap bacon strips around roast; seal in foil. Bake at 300 degrees for 30 minutes per pound.

 

Beef Pot Roast

1 3 lb. chuck roast
1 pkg. dry onion soup
1 can cream of mushroom soup

Place beef on large sheet of foil. Top with onion soup mix and mushroom soup. Fold fiol loosely around meat. Place on roasting pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes and 300 degrees for 2 hours.

 

Beef Ribs

3 lb. beef ribs
Salt and pepper to taste
1/2 cup finely diced onion
1/4 cup diced green pepper
1 8-oz. can tomato sauce
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/3 cup vinegar
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 tsp dry mustard
1 small can pineapple chunks

Sprinkle ribs with salt and pepper. Place in a shallow roasting pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Carefully drain off excess fat. Mix remaining ingredients; let stand to blend. Pour sauce over ribs. Bake for 45 minutes longer.

 

Baked Steak

2 lb. round steak
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 pkg. dry onion soup mix

Place round steak on large piece of heavy aluminum foil. Pour cream of mushroom soup on half the steak; sprinkle onion soup mix on soup. Fold the other half of steak over this. Wrap foil securely. Place in open baking dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 2 hours to 2 hours and 30 minutes.

 

Barbeque Steak

2 tbsp. vinegar
2 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. (heaping) flour
1 cup catsup
1 tbsp. chili powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1-1/2 to 2 cups water
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup chopped bell pepper
2 medium slices round steak

Mix vinegar, sugar and flour; add catsup, chili powder, salt, water, onion and pepper. Cut steak into serving pieces; place in large skillet or medium roast pan. Pour sauce over top. Cook for 1 hour and 30 minutes to 2 hours, or until sauce is thick and meat is tender.

  

American Shepherd’s Pie

1 lb. ground beef
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped celery
1 10.5 oz. can condensed vegetable soup
1/2 tsp. dried thyme
3 cups mashed cooked potatoes
1 cup shredded Colby longhorn cheese

Preheat oven to 350 degrees and lightly grease a 2 quart baking dish. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, stir and cook ground beef, onion, and celery until juices run clear. Drain. Pour mixture into baking dish with vegetable soup and thyme; stir well. Spread mashed potatoes on top. Bake 20 minutes. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top and bake 5 minutes more, or until cheese has melted.

 

Hurry Up Meat Balls 

1 lb. ground beef
1/2 cup uncooked rice
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 tbsp. chopped onion
1 can tomato soup

 Mix thoroughly all ingredients except tomato soup.  Form into 12 balls; place in greased casserole.  Pour soup over meat.  Bake, covered, in a 350 degree oven for 1 hour and 30 minutes.

 

Quick Meat Loaf

1 lb. ground beef
1 pkg. dried onion mix
1 can cream of mushroom soup

Combine all ingredients; shape into loaf.  Place in foil-lined loaf pan.  Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.

 

Zesty Beef Cubes on Noodles

Flour
1-1/2 tsp. salt
Dash of pepper
2 lb. beef chuck, cut in 1 in. cubes
1 tbsp. cooking oil
1 cup chopped onions
1 tbsp. beef bouillon
1-1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
3 tbsp. horseradish
1 cup buttermilk
1 8-oz. package noodles, cooked and drained

Combine 1/4 cup flour, salt and pepper.  Add beef cubes; mix until well coated.  Fry in hot oil in heavy skillet until brown on all sides.  Add onions; cook until soft.  Dissolve bouillons in 1/2 cup water.  Add bouillon mixture, Worcestershire sauce and horseradish to skillet; mix well.   Cover.  Simmer for 1 hour and 30 minutes or until beef is tender.  Stir 2 tbsp. flour into buttermilk; add to beef mixture.  Stir until thickened.  Serve over hot noodles.

 

Hamburger Soup

1 tbsp. margarine
1 small onion, diced
1/2 green pepper, diced
1/2 lb. hamburger
1 pkg. frozen mixed vegetables
1 can tomato soup
1/2 cup pasta or rice
Salt and pepper to taste
1/2 tsp. sugar
Dash of Worcestershire sauce

Melt margarine in large saucepan.  Add onion and green pepper; sauté for 5 minutes.  Add hamburger; cook, stirring, until lightly brown.  Add mixed vegetables, soup and 3 soup cans water.  Add any diced, leftover vegetables desired; stir in pasta.   Season with salt, pepper, sugar and Worcestershire sauce; simmer until vegetables are tender and soup is thick.

 

Stuffed Green Peppers

4 green peppers
1 lb. ground beef
2 cups cooked rice
1/4 cup chopped onion
1-1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
2 8-oz. cans tomato sauce

 

Cut peppers in half lengthwise; remove seeds and wash.  Combine beef, rice, onion, salt, pepper and 1/2 can tomato sauce.   Pile mixture into peppers in large baking dish.  Pour tomato sauce over each pepper.  Cover tightly and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until peppers are tender, basting occasionally.

 

Mock Duck

1 qt. bread stuffing with poultry seasoning
2 lb. round steak
Shortening
Onion or garlic salt
1 cup hot water

Spread stuffing over steak; roll up and tie with heavy string.  Brown on all sides in hot shortening; place rolls in casserole.   Sprinkle with onion or garlic salt; add water.  Cover tightly; bake at 325 degrees for 2 hours or until tender.  Baste frequently and turn occasionally.  Make gravy with liquid.
