![]() Easy Dessert Recipes This page has easy to use dessert recipes that anyone can prepare. The recipes have very few ingredients and requires little skill to make. I am a single guy that had no idea how to prepare anything. The recipes on this page are ones that I have prepared and find tasty even though I have little or no skills in the area of cooking. Angel Food Cake 1-1/2 cups egg whites (about 12 or 13 egg
whites) Beat egg whites; add cream of tartar and salt when eggs are frothy. Continue beating until the egg whites will stand upright. Fold in the flour and the sugar. Pour into ungreased tube pan and bake for one hour at 325 degrees.
Apple Banana Bread 1/2 cup butter flavored Crisco vegetable
shortening Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream shortening and sugars, and beat in eggs. Stir in sour cream, bananas and vanilla. In separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, soda and cinnamon. Gradually add to shortening mixture. Gently stir in apples and nuts. Spoon into greased bread pan and bake for one hour.
Easy Apple Dessert 1 package crescent rolls Cut the crescent rolls in half. Wrap a quarter slice apple in each one. Mix sugar and orange juice together and pour over rolls. Bake according to instructions on baking crescent rolls. Eat while warm.
Peach Dump Cake 1 can peach pie filling In a 9x13 casserole dish, layer ingredients beginning with pie filling, then pineapple, then cake mix. Pour melted butter over the top and bake at 350 degrees for 35-45 minutes or until top browns.
Creamy Chocolate Pie 1 cup water Stir together water and cornstarch. In heavy saucepan, combine condensed chocolate milk and egg yolks; still in cornstarch mixture. Cook over medium-low heat, stirring constantly until thick and bubbly, about 12 to 15 minutes. Remove from heat; stir in butter and vanilla. Spoon into pie crust. Chill 3 hours or until set. Top with whipped cream. Refrigerate leftovers.
Pineapple Cream Cake 1 box white cake mix prepared Prepare cake as directed. Bake in 9x13 pan. Heat sugar and pineapple in a small saucepan until sugar is dissolved. Prepare pudding as directed. Add sour cream, stir into pudding. Refrigerate mixture for 15 minutes. Pour mixture over cake. Spread whipped topping over top and sprinkle with coconut.
Fudge 1-1/2 cups sugar Butter (or line with parchment paper) a 9x9x2 pan. Heat sugar, butter, milk, and marshmallow crème in a heavy 3 qt. pan over medium heat and bring to rolling boil, stirring constantly. Allow mixture to boil 5 minutes while stirring. At the end of the 5 minutes, add chocolate chips and stir until mixed. Remove from heat and add vanilla and nuts, stir until mixed. Pour into lined or buttered pan and cool overnight. Cut into squares.
New York Cheesecake 1 cup graham cracker crumbs Mix crumbs, 3 tbsp. sugar, and melted butter; press onto bottom of 9 inch springform pan. Bake at 350 degree for 8 minutes. Beat softened cream cheese, 1 cup sugar, flour and vanilla on medium speed until well blended. Add eggs 1 at a time, mixing on low speed just until blended. Blend in sour cream. Pour over crust. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until center is almost set. Run knife around rim of pan to loosen cake; cool before removing rim of pan. Refrigerate overnight. Top with cherry of strawberry pie filling, if desired.
Vanilla Ice Cream 6 eggs, slightly beaten Mix eggs, sugar, condensed milk and half and half, beating on medium speed to mix well. Add vanilla and whipping cream and mix well. Pour into ice cream maker and add whole milk to fill line, stir well.
Easy Chocolate Chip Cookies 1 (12 oz.) package of chocolate chips Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Mix brown sugar, white sugar, eggs, butter or margarine and vanilla in large mixing bowl until creamy. Add pancake mix 1/2 cup at a time till very thick. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop spoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet. Bake for 8 12 minutes.
Ultimate Crispy Bars 2 (10 oz.) packages miniature marshmallows Melt 4 tbsp. margarine in microwave for 30 seconds. Add 1 package of marshmallows, heat for 1-1/2 minutes on high. Stir until melted; add 1 box of Crisp cereal. Press crispy mixture into buttered jellyroll pan. Place 1/2 cup margarine, milk and caramels in microwave bowl, heat for 2 minutes on high. Stir, keep heating at 30-second intervals until caramels are melted and will stir smooth. Spread on crispy layer. Sprinkle with 1 cup chocolate chips. Make second crispy mixture and pat on top. Let set up and enjoy.
Crunchy Cheese Pudding 1/2 cup Grape Nuts Combine Grape Nuts, brown sugar and butter in mixing bowl; set aside. Combine pudding mix and cottage cheese, stirring until well blended. Add milk, stirring for about 1 minute or until thickened. Place alternate layers of pudding and Grape Nuts mixture in serving dish or individual dishes. Chill.
Quick and Easy Baked Custard 1-3/4 cup milk Pour milk into glass measure; heat, uncovered, in microwave for 2 minutes. Beat eggs with sugar, salt and vanilla; add scalded milk slowly, stirring constantly. Pour into 4 custard cups. Cook, uncovered, for 4 to 4-1/2 minutes or until just set when shook; stir each cup 4 times during cooking and reposition cups for more even cooking. Cool, then chill, uncovered, for 1 hour. Cover and chill if stored longer. May be garnished with dash of ground nutmeg or cinnamon, sprinkling of toasted coconut, sliced sweetened strawberries or raspberries, sliced peaches, banana slices rolled in orange juice and chopped nuts or whipped cream.
Strawberry Cream Squares 2 pkgs. Strawberry gelatin Dissolve gelatin in boiling water. Add berries, stirring occasionally until thawed. Add pineapple, bananas and nuts if desired. Pour half of mixture into 8x8x2 pan; chill until firm. Spoon an even layer of sour cream over the firm gelatin. Stir and gently pour remaining gelatin over sour cream; chill until firm. If desired, nuts may be combined with sour cream instead of with the fruit and gelatin.
Frozen Cherry-Pineapple Delight 2 (3 oz.) pkgs. cream cheese Combine cheese and mayonnaise; blend until smooth. Fold in remaining ingredients. Freeze until firm.
